In August 2007, ChiFusion Director Al Simon was inducted into the 2007 United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Al was inducted with with the rank of "Master", in recognition of his contributions to Tai Chi, Qigong, and Chi Development. The United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, now in its 8th year, recognizes those martial artists that have made a profound difference in the arts. Sponsored by the International Martial Arts Headfounders Grandmasters Council, its mission is to honor all masters and instructors that dedicate themselves to martial arts excellence. Past inductees have included such well-known martial arts masters and instructors as Master Fumio Demura, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Frank Shamrock, Masaaki Hatsumi, Richard Bustillo, "Judo" Gene Lebell, Wally Jay, Pan Qing Fu, and Paul Vunak.
"I'd like to express my appreciation to the Grandmasters Council, the Hall of Fame Director, and the Selection Committee for approving my induction," says Al. "I also owe thanks to the instructors and masters who have taught me over the last 20+ years. In addition, I owe a special thanks to my CloudWater.Com Associate Director Carole Taylor. Without Carole, there wouldn't be a ChiFusion program." "And finally, I would not be receiving this award without
those of you who have
been and continue to be my students, and especially those students
in our ChiFusion Complete Course. It's through your consistent support
- both financially and through your enthusiasm and dedication for
the program - that we've been able to maintain our high standard of instruction."
