Hi. I’d like to welcome you to the ChiFusion Tai Chi and Qigong course. I'm really excited to help you improve your health, relieve stress and develop Chi using the most successful program of Tai Chi we've ever developed. And you'll soon see how different - and how much more effective - this program is compared to most of the standard approaches to Tai Chi and Qigong.
My name is Al Simon. I'm a master of Tai Chi recognized by the Headfounders Grandmasters Council and the International Martial Arts Council of America. I've also been inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame three times as a Master and as a Founder for my innovations to Tai Chi and Qigong.
So let me ask you, have you ever been to a Tai Chi classes or watched a Tai Chi or Qigong video? If so, you know that many classes and videos teach Tai Chi and Qigong as if they were "dance choreography." The instructor leads you through the movements and exercises with instructions such as "put this hand here, this foot there, and move this way." You watch the instructor and copy her or his movements, just as you would in a ballet class or a performance dance class.
Now, a choreography approach works well for ballet classes, because what is important in ballet is making the movements look a certain way for the audience. But for the great health, stress relief, and Chi Development benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong, it's much more important that the movements "feel" a certain way rather than "look" a certain way.
So because of that, what you are about to experience is quite different from these choreography-based Tai Chi and Qigong classes. You are about to discover a different way of learning Tai Chi and Qigong. In the ChiFusion™ Tai Chi and Qigong program that you are just now starting, we've supplemented the traditional "visual" approach to learning Tai Chi and Qigong with "kinesthetic" details - details that allow you to "feel" how the movements are done.
With this kinesthetic approach, you'll see faster improvements in your health, and you'll learn Chi Development much more quickly. Plus you won't have to memorize hundreds of complicated movements just to see these great benefits.
Now, I could talk to you for hours about how great this approach is, but talk is just not enough. You have to see this approach in action. You have to see how you can put it to work for you, getting all these great health and Chi Development benefits.
And so you're going to get to try out this approach, right now.
Just below this video is a big orange button that says "Go to Lesson". That button will take you to your first kinesthetic Tai Chi lesson. In this first lesson, I start off with some brief information about Tai Chi, Qigong, and the ChiFusion approach, just in case you are new to all this. But then you'll dive right into your first kinesthetic Tai Chi movement.
You'll find text, photos, video and audio to help you learn this first movement. And in the lesson, we use a special exercise to help you get the right feeling for the movement – the way the movement feels to a Tai Chi master.
Some people tell me it's an exercise they did when they were young, but they never connected it with Tai Chi before. And other people have told me they've done this first Tai Chi movement for decades, but never knew it was supposed to feel this way. And for many people, this one exercise really convinces them of how much better this kinesthetic, "feelings-based" approach is than the usual "monkey-see, monkey-do" approach to learning Tai Chi.
So, after you try this first lesson, I'll come back and explain to you how this all works. But you have to try it for yourself first to
really understand it. So when you are ready, just click on the big orange "lesson" button just below this video, and give that lesson a try.
I hope you enjoy it.
